I spent seventeen years in the trenches of corporate product marketing and management for major medical device companies, defining strategy and market plans and crafting killer messaging, value propositions, and sales collateral. I love brainstorming the right words to tell a client's story and position the product. I liked playing with my Dad's Stratego game as a kid, and that love of strategy has carried over into my career.
I love medicine and the technologies that have been developed to help advance modern medical science. I spent seventeen years in clinical laboratories and hospitals, and I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to medical devices. I have used them, heard about them, written about them and helped develop the next generation of them. If you need a medical nerd who can speak to doctors, nurses, lab technicians and administrators in their own language, look no further.
Regulatory science can be confusing, complex, exhausting and yes - exhilarating, if you know how to approach it. MDR, FDA, ISO 14971, IVDR - all have their supporters and detractors. I just enjoy writing about the regulations, and their impact on industry. It's absolutely fascinating.
I travel the East Coast in my camper van, enjoying the sites and freedom that RV travel provides. Working from new locations triggers my creativity and inspires my writing. Once the cold and snow recedes from the Northeast, you never know where my rolling office may be, but thanks to modern technology I am always available to tackle new projects and meet with clients.
